RIS Colloquium on India’s Growing Dependence on Imports in the Area of Bulk Drugs on 23 December 2014

India’s growing dependence on imports in the area of bulk drugs is becoming an issue that will have impact on our pharmaceutical, formulation industry, and access to medicines. It is linked with the future of generic industry as well as a large number of MSMEs in the country.

In this context, Research and Information System for Developing Countries (RIS), a New Delhi-based autonomous Think-Thank, supported by the Ministry of External Affairs, is planning to organize a colloquium on the topic on Tuesday, 23 December 2014 at India International Centre, New Delhi to provide inputs for government policy making. Government representatives, representatives of pharma industry as well as academic and other persons working in the field of public health and access to medicine are being invited to participate in this colloquium
